Sea Mountain Condos Unit 20 – TV Remote Controls

Sometimes, I find the remote controls (and cable TV in general ) to be overwhelming…the thought of having hundreds and hundreds of channels available to us is intriguing. But, here’s the problem: it’s in Hawaii. And we’d rather look at the ocean, swim, hike, cook or hang out on the lanai…most of the time.

However, there are times when we want to watch TV or stream from our favorite services like Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime. A while back we received an upgrade to a digital cable package that gave us a digital cable box and we added a new TV with a new remote control. It can be a little confusing at first and so here is short (4 minute) video to help explain the many buttons.

Smart TV in your Hawaii Vacation Rental Condo

The new TV is a “smart” TV and has streaming service built right into it. Slick and easy to use right from the TV remote. Plus, we’ll show you how to use the cable remote to see a program guide and to search for your favorite show or programming using the “B” button…

After you get the hang of things, it’s easy. This is probably old news to most of you who already have cable at home, but, in case your remote control is different, or you are just as confused as we were, hopefully our tips will help.
